UK Global Talent visa · for tech professionals
The Global Talent visa lets you live and work in the UK without a job offer or sponsor. Our guides show software developers, data and AI specialists, cybersecurity specialists, product managers, designers, digital marketers, sales and growth leaders, founders and tech investors how to get endorsed, and how to avoid the mistakes that get applications refused.
The knowledge in these guides comes from my own successful endorsement, and from studying successful applicants who paid £5,000 to immigration consultants for the same insight. Same approach, same knowledge — for $79$30, written for your role.
✓ Real client result: visa granted
Why the Global Talent visa
You apply on the strength of your own work. No employer has to vouch for you or hold a sponsor licence.
Change jobs whenever you like, freelance, or start your own company. Your visa isn’t tied to one employer.
Your partner and children can come with you as dependants, and your partner can work in the UK too.
Exceptional Talent holders can apply for settlement (ILR) after 3 years; Exceptional Promise after 5.
None of these are needed to get the visa. English and the Life in the UK test come later, when you settle.
After settlement you can go on to apply to become a British citizen.
Settlement rules are under review by the UK government. Always check gov.uk for the latest.

Guide or lawyer?
UK immigration solicitors typically quote £2,000 to £5,000 to help with a Global Talent application. They know the process well, but endorsement depends on evidence an assessor recognises, and that is what each guide is built around.
Knowing you need "proof of leadership" is one thing. Knowing what that looks like for someone in your role is another. The guide shows you how to turn your work into evidence documents that fit the 3-sides-of-A4 limit, with worked examples.
Going over the page limit, dates that don't match between your CV and statement, a document with no clear criterion. The pre-submission checklist has you check each one before you pay the fee.
Assessors reject team results presented as personal wins. The guide shows you how to write evidence that makes your part clear, and how to have your referees confirm it.
Tech Nation looks for experience at product-led companies, not agency or consultancy work. The guide is straight about what qualifies and how to present work that sits in between.
Letters that read like LinkedIn recommendations add little. The guide covers who to ask and how to brief each referee so their letter backs up your evidence.
Generic Global Talent advice leaves you to work out what applies to you. Each guide covers the criteria, evidence and referee advice for one role, with examples from that field.
The cost of a refusal
The £561 endorsement fee is not refunded if your application is refused, so trying again means paying it again, plus months more waiting. At $79$30, the guide costs less than a fifth of a single refused application.
Endorsement fee as published on GOV.UK, September 2026. Bars to scale, from £2,000.

Solicitor fees are typical quotes from UK firms. A solicitor is worth it if your immigration history is complex, and many people build their evidence with a guide first, then have it reviewed. No one, including us, can guarantee an endorsement.
Why you need a guide
A refusal means paying the £561 endorsement fee again and waiting weeks more.
Each guide costs $79$30.
Mistake 1
Agency marketing, consultancy, IT support and junior analyst roles are listed as unsuitable.
The guide: a fit check for your role, and a plan if you’re not ready yet.
Mistake 2
Job descriptions, course certificates and unexplained screenshots rarely prove you stand out in the field.
The guide: strong vs weak evidence for every criterion, with examples.
Mistake 3
More than 10 documents, more than 3 pages each, or the same evidence used for two criteria.
The guide: a 10-document plan, the 3-page evidence template and a pre-submission checklist.
Mistake 4
Each referee must be an established expert who has known your work for 12+ months, and cover specific points.
The guide: what every letter must include, and how to brief each referee separately.
Mistake 5
The two are judged differently, and they lead to different settlement timelines.
The guide: a clear guide to which track fits your experience.
Mistake 6
The statement should argue your case against the criteria, in 1,000 words or fewer.
The guide: a section-by-section plan for your statement, with samples.
Mistake 7
Assessors shouldn’t have to guess which criterion a document supports or why it matters.
The guide: a 3-page template that opens every document with the claim and the criterion it supports.
Mistake 8
Job titles, dates or figures that differ between your CV, statement and letters raise doubts, and so do unexplained gaps.
The guide: a final check that every date, title and figure matches across your documents.
Mistake 9
Building something new isn’t enough. You need proof that the industry has recognised it.
The guide: evidence ideas that show independent recognition: press, adoption, awards and invitations.

Common refusal reasons and a final checklist.
Already been refused? You are in a better position than most first-time applicants. You know the process, you know what it costs to get it wrong. The guide shows you how to fix it before you pay the £561 again.
The one that matches where most of your evidence comes from. A founder who codes should pick Software Developers; a founder whose strongest evidence is the company itself (customers, revenue, funding) should pick Startup Founders. If you lead growth, pick Digital Marketing Professionals when your results come from marketing, or Tech Sales Professionals when they come from sales and revenue.
Straight after checkout you land in My Downloads with your guide, and we email you a login link so you can come back any time. Your Stripe receipt comes by email too.
No. Tech Nation decides every application, and no one can guarantee the outcome. The guide helps you present your real achievements in the strongest, rule-compliant way.
Each guide shows the date the rules were last checked. When we update a guide, the new version appears in My Downloads at no extra cost. Always confirm on gov.uk before you apply.
